Currently, Peter’s focus is representing lifestyle property clients such as Canada Snowboard, Freestyle Canada, Cycling Canada, Sail Canada, Sea Otter Canada Epic Tour Granfondo and Canada Running Series, that provide non-cluttered, highly targeted and innovative integrated solutions at relatively low costs, allowing brands to invest their budgets on marketing activations (vs. rights fees) to generate maximum ROI.
Cosentino doesn’t just market the sports he represents, he actually lives them! An avid mountain biker and snowboarder, Peter recently has added a slew of 5K, 10K and Half Marathon running medals to his trophy case. As a result of his real-life, 360o experiences, he is uniquely equipped to factor in the sports demographics’ perspective to the properties’ programs and the sponsoring brands’ marketing activations
A leader in Canada’s sports marketing field, Cosentino has a long track record of building and fostering winning marketing and sponsorship programs for professional and amateur sports organizations, including the Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Club where he was promoted to Vice President after being the Director of Marketing, Advertising, Promotions and Game Entertainment while also serving as the Director, Marketing for the Toronto Argonauts Football Club. His main focus was on driving revenue and single game tickets for the Toronto Blue Jays, while creating value on various platforms offered through convergence with other Rogers’ Operating Companies as well as driving customers to channels of distribution through advertising, promotions, brand management and game/event management.
Other clients have included: Canadian Opera Company, The House of Blues Concerts Canada, Commonwealth Games Canada, Gestev Inc. Ontario Special Olympics, Hockey Heritage North, the Forzani Group Foundation and The Just For Laughs Festival, Canada’s Walk of Fame, the Seneca College Varsity Athletic Program and Crystal Light’s National Aerobic Championships 14-city North American Tour.
Cosentino’s sports passion extends to tennis where he plays and is a past member of the Boulevard Club. An active member of the Canadian sports and entertainment communities, Peter is a volunteer at the York University Sport Administration Alumni Association and was also a volunteer board Member of Special Olympics Canada’s Special Olympics Festival Breakfast Committee and a post board member of both the Marketing Committee for the Toronto Entertainment District Association and the Conn Smythe Sports Celebrities Dinner for Easter Seals Society. Mr. Cosentino graduated with Specialized Honours, B.A. in Sport Administration from York University in 1987 and resides in Toronto, Ontario.
